About the Author

In 2009, at a Women’s Conference, Julie Whitley encountered God’s call for her life in a profound way. In a vision, she saw herself ministering to thousands of women of every color, tribe, nationality, and walk of life. From that moment on, there was a passion and fire in her to help mothers, wives, daughters, and sisters find their identity and hope in God. She threw herself into ministry and devoted everything she had to seeing women set free.

However, as she pursued that dream, she found that she began to lose sight of the very things that mattered most: her children, her husband, and most importantly, the Lord. In one of her most life-changing Interruptions, God completely changed her perspective on what ministry truly is. She began to see God’s hand working in those “messy” moments of motherhood, marriage, and life and Interrupted was born.

Julie believes that in every mess, God has a message that will strengthen you, encourage you, and remind you of your worth in Christ! As a wife, mother of four, daughter, sister, and friend, she has years of wisdom to share to help you grow through all of life’s “interruptions.”

Julie Whitley announces the release of ‘Interrupted: A Thirty-Day Devotional for the Busy Mom’

“Interrupted: A Thirty-Day Devotional for the Busy Mom”(published by WestBow Press) offers a devotional for mothers that comes from what appear to be failures but are really just life’s interruptions. Designed for busy moms, this 30-day devotional helps them to allow God to meet them in the middle of life’s interruptions.

LEOMINSTER, Mass. – “I am a wife, mother to four amazing boys, daughter, sister, and friend. With that said, like most moms, I can more than relate to life interruptions. With an undying passion for God’s Word and life, I am looking forward to sharing that with you from what others call a ‘messy’ perspective of motherhood. With an ongoing to-do list and never ending interruptions, I have discovered how God meets us in the chaos,” Julie Whitley states.

“Mothers, especially young moms strive to be the ‘perfect mother.’ We often make the mistake of putting our children and everyone else before our selves. As we try to perfect the art of motherhood, we end up losing our own identity and falling in to a very real depression. What should be a blessing in our lives leaves us questioning how we got where we are and if we are even adequate moms, “Whitley says. “But we need to remember the obstacles we face as women and mothers have no bearing on the God we serve. The obstacle ahead of us is not greater than the God within us.”

The publication of “Interrupted: A Thirty-Day Devotional for the Busy Mom” aims for mothers to stop feeling like failures and discover God in the middle of life’s interruptions.
